Freebies & Where To Find Them

A great way to save money is through freebies.

This is where a company or brand offer a product completely free.

This can be done through subscribing to their newsletters or through a promotion when there is a product they want to push which could be an existing product or something brand new to the market.

Freebies are usually sample size but sometimes if we are really lucky they can be full size products.

Sometimes brands also include a money off coupon with the freebie, another way to maximise savings.

Freebie pages on Facebook are an invaluable source of all the latest free products.

My favourite Facebook pages are Latest Free Stuff, Wow Free Stuff and Gratisfaction UK.

These pages also have websites, which I will link below:

These sites are updated daily with all the new and latest freebies.

I suggest subscribing to their newsletters and following their Facebook pages as to never miss a freebie again.

I will of course share any freebies on my Facebook and Instagram pages, The Frugal Home.

Another way to receive freebies is to write to companies praising their products, product suggestions or simply asking if there are any samples they would be kind enough to let you try. If you use this method you aren't guaranteed to receive anything but it is worth a try and if nothing else your feedback is invaluable to the company.

Asking at the beauty counters in department stores for samples of a particular product you are interested in trying is another way to maximise freebies and most are happy to abide.

There are a few mobile phone provider apps which occasionally have freebies available. These are O2 Priority, Very Me by Vodafone and Wuntu by 3 and I would definitely recommend downloading these.

Brands frequently run on the road tours or have promotional stands in city centres, shopping centres and train stations. This is a great opportunity to pick up free samples and sometimes coupons.

Cashback apps often have freebies available. This is slightly different as you need to buy the product first and then claim your money back - more on this in the Cashback Apps post.

Similar to this is the try me free promotions that brands often run. Again you buy the product and then claim your money back.

Entering competitions is a great way to get some freebies. You can win anything from shower gel to holidays. The Prize Finder website is an amazing site that lists all the competitions and you can keep track of the ones you have entered. I would definitely recommend checking it out here www.theprizefinder.com

As you can see there are plenty of opportunities to gain free products in a variety of ways.

Are there any other ways you have received freebies or any tips you would offer others?
